AERIAL YOGA

Aerial yoga teaches anti-gravity yoga poses using a yoga hammock to support the student through the poses. It is an accessible practice for all students that can help you find more length in your spine and safe alignment in your poses. Aerial Yoga has surprising physical benefits, including spinal decompression, pain relief, and ease in inversions and other challenging poses.  *Space is limited for this class ~ pre-registration is recommended.

ALL LEVELS YOGA FLOW

This class focuses on linking together of movement and breath to create a ‘vinyasa flow'. Every class feels different as the posture order varies from class to class.  Poses include sun salutations, standing poses, balancing postures, seated and reclining poses, backbends, and core isolation poses. Special emphasis is placed on moving in and out of postures safely, learning correct alignment, and connecting the poses to the breath as students move in a fluid, controlled motion.

ASHTANGA YOGA

Ashtanga Yoga is a vigorous vinyasa and flow style of yoga. It involves synchronizing breath with progressive and continuous postures. It builds strength, flexibility, and stamina, while calming the mind and improving overall health.

BARRE CLASSES

Barre Classes are a fusion the best of pilates, yoga, aerobics, and elements of the strengthening exercises ballet dancers do.  Barre delivers a results-driven workout that is not only fun and dynamic, but it will sculpt your body, strengthen your core and get you into absolutely amazing shape.  The Wellness Center offers Ballet BARRE, this Barre class focuses on ballet, yoga and pilates poses to tone and sculpt the body.

CHAIR YOGA

This class is a unique yoga style that adapts yoga positions and poses through creative use of a yoga chair. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. The student is able to warm up the body safely and perform yoga poses with more support and stability. Poses are done seated on the chair or the chair is used for support during standing poses, forward and backward bends, side extensions, balancing poses, and leg and arm stretches. Chair Yoga is suitable for all ages, fitness levels and physical conditions.

GUIDED MEDITATION

This donation only abbreviated class is a guided mediation led by a yoga instructor and trained Neurosculpting Practitioner.  Meditating on your own requires some effort, while guided meditations literally walk you through a meditation and help you find a calm and peaceful state.

KIDS YOGA

This class is designed specifically for kids and are designed around poses to increase cognitive and physical flexibility, focus, coordination, and social skills. Classes are intended to be fun and include age-appropriate games, creative yoga poses and cognitive/academic exercises.

MAMA FIT YOGA

This is fun yoga class for new mothers and babies.  This class provides moms the opportunity to build strength and practice yoga while bonding, singing and playing with their babies. Babies from 6 weeks to a year/active crawling.

PRENATAL & GENTLE YOGA

This class includes a series of yoga postures that helps to strengthen the muscles, improve flexibility, improve circulation, aid in digestion, strengthens and aligns the spine and increases overall comfort levels. The class is specially designed to alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy, including nausea, digestive issues, varicose vein discomfort, swelling, and back/sciatica pain. It is a perfect class for those seeking prenatal or postnatal healing benefits of yoga.  This class is designed for light exercise only ~ non-pregnant students seeking a gentle practice are always welcome.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

This luxurious yoga class is conducted entirely on the mat, either in a seated position or laying down on the mat. The focus of this class is on deep stretching, breathing, meditation, and delightful stress reduction techniques and poses. Props are used to increase comfort while reaching new levels of deep relaxation during each class. Modifications may be provided by the instructor to meet individual needs.

TAI CHI

Tai chi is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

WALL YOGA

This class uses the Yoga Wall as a prop for all poses during the class.  The Yoga Wall works by using gravity as a natural form of resistance, causing the body to open much further than in regular yoga practice. This amazing class uses the Yoga Wall to release tension from the joints and deeply stretches the entire muscular-skeletal body. *Space is limited for this class ~ pre-registration is recommended.

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga targets the deep connective tissue of the body. It helps to regulate the flow of energy throughout the body. Yin yoga postures are more passive postures in nature and mainly consist of postures conducted on the floor.

YOGA FLOW & RESTORATIVE

This class incorporates both the Yoga Flow style and the Restorative style into one class. Approximately half of the class is focused on All Levels Yoga Flow and then the class ends with a luxurious Restorative Yoga session.

YOGA FOR RUNNERS & WALKERS

These yoga classes are uniquely designed for runners & walkers who are in training or just want to get in shape. This class will focus on building stamina, strengthening the body, controlled breathing and targeted stretching.

This is an extended class held the 2nd Saturday of every month.


YOGA FOUNDATIONS

This class provides a foundation of basic yoga techniques by teaching alignment principles, breath work, and knowledge of yoga techniques to experience the poses in a safe and appropriate leveled practice. Traditional poses are taught and the instructors supports you by offering specific modifications to best meet your current abilities during your yoga practice.
