Giving birth is a process full of decision-making. Some decisions can and should be made before labor begins, but many will have to be made while in labor. In this class, you will learn:
• How to make a birth plan
• About various labor interventions and their pros and cons
• A process for evaluating choices and making informed decisions
• What to do when your birth goes differently than planned
We highly recommend that your partner or support person join you for this class.

$40 per couple. Registration for only one person in the couple is necessary.

Postpartum Recovery and

 

Newborn Care

 

This class will help you and your partner prepare for life with a new baby! You will learn:
• What to expect with postpartum recovery, both physical and emotional
• How to plan and prepare for the changing roles and life demands that come with a new baby
• Basic newborn care, including diapering, bathing, dressing, soothing
• Safe newborn sleep options
• Basics of babywearing
We highly recommend that your partner or primary support person attend this class with you.

$40 per couple. Registration for only one person in the couple is necessary.

Now What?

 

Finding out you are pregnant can be both exciting and overwhelming! We want to help you navigate those early months and set you up for success in your pregnancy! You will learn:
• The Dos and Don’ts of pregnancy, including nutrition, travel, and more.
• The basics of pregnancy exercise and how to get and stay comfortable with your growing belly
• How to choose the right care provider
We encourage your partner or support person to join you for this class.

$40 per couple. Registration for only one person in the couple is necessary.

Comfort Measures

 

For Labor

 

This class builds off of the Childbirth Prep class and dives deeper into comfort measures and tools for coping with labor. You will learn:
• Various positions for labor and their benefits
• How to utilize comfort measures, including massage, Rebozo techniques, aromatherapy and music
• Finding the right people to support you in labor
• Which tools work best for you during our labor rehearsal
We highly recommend that your partner or support person join you for this class. Childbirth Prep is a prerequisite for this class.
